This is one of a collection of handwoven tapestry pieces, which are a study of colour and weave pattern structure. They are framed in matt black behind art glass and each measures 11” (28cm) square. The artwork considers the process of showing the colourful yarns on the front of the cloth or hiding them in the middle or on the back. Warp threads are lifted or lowered to manipulate the placement of the individual threads. Mixed fibres in the piece include post-industrial waste yarns in cotton, silk and rayon floss.
