This artwork was handwoven on a digital jacquard loom and measures 80cm wide by 70.5cm long. It was inspired by our interconnection with all life on the planet. The background texture is taken from the artist’s own skin. It is a digital representation of a face-pack in fact. As with each of these unique pieces of artwork addressing the issues of endangered species, the starting point was original drawings and textures from mark-making.

This contemporary hanging is woven in silk, bamboo, cotton and rayon floss, all yarns carefully sourced with consideration for sustainable working.

There is a tube woven into the top and a rod feeds through this, which can be easily supported on the wall with just two tacks (not included).
